In reference to my Response Brian Foley has stated:

> It is my opinion that he is not correct in stating that only conspiracy theorists can be convinced that HIV has not been sufficiently implicated as the cause of AIDS.

Brian Foley is quite right. I should have said that the specious and disingenuous arguments that detract from the war against HIV/AIDS should only convince the conspiracy theorists. The arguments that they put up on web sites no doubt do sound compelling to those who are not trained in Medicine or Science and/or those who haven't yet realised that what they read on any such web sites should be taken with copious amounts of salt.
