Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: That is a Scientist's Responsibility

On 23rd February 2004, Christopher Noble wrote,

" I have absolutely no objection to the Perth Group publishing their hypotheses in scientific journals."

Whether Christopher Noble has any objection or not is of no relevance. What matters is that the editors of these journals found the Perth group's articles worthy of publication .

"I am under no obligation to write to the journals that have published Perth Group articles."

Yes, that is right. But the fact is that Christopher Noble does take the trouble of responding, in detail, to the Perth group's hypotheses on this forum, often accusing them of lying and being less than honest. If he feels compelled enough to refute the Perth group so regualrly and aggressively on a non peer-reviewed forum like this one (no doubt spending considerable time and effort in doing so), it seems amazing that he does not want to take up the issue with all those respectable scientific journals that have published the Perth group's articles saying that he is under no obligation to do so. Everyone knows fully well that publishing in such journals gives the Perth group a lot more respectability and authenticity than posting anything here on this on-line debate which is not peer-reviewed.

In fact Christopher Noble's attitude leads one to feel that it is he who is being less than honest.
